The Graben, Ventnor

The Graben, in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight, is a known geological location which is often subject to ground movement.

The graben structure is a geological fault that is opening up at the crest of the Ventnor landslide, which creeps around 5 to 10mm per year in normal conditions, but in periods of heavy rain, it is found to creep up to about 35mm per year.
