Magnolias

Beautiful Magnolias at VBG

One of the first signs of spring is seeing the magnolias burst into flower. Luckily for us living on the southern part of the island, is Ventnor Botanic Gardens (VBG) has a selection of these magnificent trees that flower at different times. It is a shame that the flowers don’t last. Thanks to the gardens being sheltered from the cold north and north east winds, these trees flower early. Brightening up our lives.

Other flowers are starting to appear to, a place to visit on a regular basis now for those of us who live near there.

If you want to see them, be quick. Parking is free if you are visiting the gardens (the £5 parking is for walkers to Steephill Cove and elsewhere).

But if you are unable to visit, I’ll be adding lots of photographs of the VBG on this website.
